  1. - Just wanted to touch base with you. How's the neck pain been lately? I was curious if you've received any other responses. I'm sorry there hasn't been much activity around your question. I hope you've seen some improvement over the past month. Sending you my best wishes.Rebecca (team member)

    1. yes I have and this is what it shows IMPRESSION:
Shallow disc bulges more prominent to the right at C3-4
and C4-5 touching the thecal sac producing minimal/mild central
      stenosis

Left-sided uncovertebral spur C5-6 with mild left foraminal narrowing

Normal MRI appearance of the cervical cord without evidence for cord
edema. No evidence for myelitis or demyelinating disease or
      intramedullary mass

IDK if theirs another test that can be done to show the tumors or not because this MRI didn't show it

    2. Although I am familiar with the terminology, we cannot offer any information or treatment for your testing. We are not physicians, just advocates who want to support and offer up experiences that may help. I am not sure what your physicians will consider regarding your results. It seems you are still suffering, and it needs to be addressed.

Many times rheumatologists and orthopedics will order a CT scan also if they want to explore your symptoms more. It sounds like you are doing all you can to find the cause. I sympathize with you. I am dealing with severe neck and spine pain also, I understand. Have they offered up a treatment plan to help you manage the pain? You stated you were diagnosed with SpA - have they begun to manage this with medications? I certainly hope you get some assistance in reducing the pain. It is incredibly frustrating and challenging to cope with that discomfort while waiting for relief.

There are some ways to help lessen the pain at home. Here is an article that may help you sort things out with your physicians. https://axialspondyloarthritis.net/complementary-integrative-health I often use ice and heat and have a home massager and balls and tools to help me find relief, even if for a few hours or so. Also, showers are helpful, and do consider rest a therapy - spondyloarthritis is exhausting. I rest many times throughout the day to help restore energy. Please know we are here to help you as you travel this road. Thoughtfully, Rebecca (team member)

  2. Hello - It sounds like you're dealing with a complex interplay of symptoms, and it's positive that your pain management doctor and cardiologist are considering various possibilities, including the potential involvement of the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve plays a crucial role in regulating many bodily functions, including those related to pain perception and gastrointestinal issues. Neck pain and associated symptoms like nausea can sometimes be linked to vagus nerve dysfunction. Here's a link to one of our articles that may help you understand this process https://axialspondyloarthritis.net/clinical/polyvagal-theory

I've read of cases where issues with the vagus nerve can contribute to neck pain and related symptoms. It's essential to work closely with your healthcare team to explore this possibility further through diagnostic tests and evaluations. They can provide personalized guidance and treatment options tailored to your specific situation.

In the meantime, keeping track of your symptoms and any triggers or patterns you notice is important. This information can be valuable for your healthcare providers in refining their assessment and treatment plan.

You're not alone in this journey. It seems your professional physicians are committed to helping you find relief and improve your quality of life. I certainly hope others chime in - would love to their experiences with dizziness, nausea, vomiting, neck pain, as well as vagal nerve issues.
